GARDEN PROJECTS

1.Project One

Question/Problem(s) Proposed: Why are my plants leaves turning yellow?

Answer(s) I found: One of the reasons my squash leaves are yellow is because of over watering. There are many other reasons for the leaves to turn yellow such as not enough nutrients, disease, insects, and not enough Sun.

2. Resipe

Name: Baked Parmesan Yellow Squash Recipe

Vegetable Used: Summer Squash

Ingredients: Summer Squash, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper

Steps to Make it: First you cut the squash into slices then put them on a baking sheet. Next you use a small spoon to put Parmesan cheese on the squash slices. You can add garlic powder, salt, pepper and whatever else you want to try. Lastly you baked them until the cheese is melted and the squash is soft.

Opinion: I couldn’t taste the squash, it just tasted like pizza in a way. The texture was squishy, wet and crispy in some areas. Overall it was okay, it’s not something I would make again but I’m glad a got to try it.

3. Another Project

Question/Problem(s) Proposed: Why do squash bugs lay eggs on squash leaves?

Answer(s) I found: Squash bugs like to lay eggs on squash leaves because it provides shelter, food and protection. Squash bugs lay eggs in small clusters usually on the vein of squash leaves.
