IMANEE’S GARDEN
PROFILE
I want to work at the garden because: I thought for me personally, it would be an enjoyable thing to do this summer while also being helpful to those in need.
Two of my personal goals for working at the Dallas Youth Garden this summer are:
To gain better gardening skills and understanding
To make new connections and meet all expectations
Two things I hope to learn from working at the Dallas Youth Garden are:
How to successfully grow my own produce
How to navigate a new working environment proficiently while enjoying my work
I think my biggest challenge will be: monitoring all the variety of plants and making sure their different needs are meet effectively
My favorite vegetable or fruit is: Cucumbers
I hope to contribute this to the garden this year: I think I have a good grasp on basic gardening from previous experience in my own home and I also think I can contribute good teamwork to the group when asked to work together.

Final Thoughts:
My favorite garden vegetable was: Cabbage
Because: all of my cabbage grew very nicely and were all intact with hardly any bug spots and were all a good healthy size
I harvested _114.5_ pounds of produce from my garden.
My favorite job was: I’d have to say weeding even though it can be a lot or difficult
My least favorite job was: picking or weeding squash plants because of the irritation I’d get from the plants
I could have done better at: weeding, I think I got overwhelmed with the size of my garden and trying to weed everything but not getting as much as I wanted done
I did the best I could doing: watering and weeding I think I did come pretty consistent watering throughout the garden and had healthy plants
The two things I learned most at the garden this year were: timing of when all the plants start to bloom and when it’s best to harvest them and how certain plants have different needs than others and accommodating to them
